India is the world's second-largest pomegranate producer, with Maharashtra leading production. Indian Bhagwa pomegranates are globally recognized for their deep red arils, thin and soft skin, and sweet-tart flavor profile with Brix levels of 14-16 degrees.

Our pomegranates are harvested at optimal maturity, pre-cooled to 5C within 4 hours of picking, and shipped in temperature-controlled reefers to maintain freshness. Each fruit undergoes rigorous grading for size, color uniformity, and blemish-free skin.

Shipping & Cold Chain

Pomegranates require strict cold chain management. We maintain 3-5C from packhouse to port. Reefer containers are pre-cooled and monitored with real-time temperature logging. All shipments include Phytosanitary certificates, COO, and health certificates as per destination country requirements.

Transit times: Middle East (5-7 days), Europe (12-16 days), Russia (18-22 days).

Direct Farm Sourcing

We source Bhagwa, Ganesh, and Ruby pomegranate directly from certified farms in Maharashtra and Karnataka. Direct sourcing reduces costs by 10-15% and ensures full traceability.

Export Packaging Options

Pomegranates are packed in 3.5kg and 5kg ventilated cartons (standard), individual net-wrapped fruit for premium orders, and 10kg bulk cartons for wholesale. All packaging includes foam dividers to prevent transit damage.

Quality Control at Every Stage

Our QC includes Brix testing, color assessment, skin integrity checks, and weight grading. Every batch is tested for pesticide residues. Rejection rate for non-conforming fruit is below 3%.

Flexible Payment Terms

We accept 30% advance + 70% BL copy, Letter of Credit at sight, and escrow for first-time buyers. Regular buyers qualify for 45-day open account terms after three successful shipments.

Best export variety?

Bhagwa is most exported due to deep red arils, high sweetness (15-16 Brix), and thick skin resisting transit damage. Ganesh is preferred for processing. Ruby offers early-season availability.

Packaging for export?

Pomegranates are individually net-wrapped and packed in 3.5kg or 5kg ventilated cartons with foam dividers. Premium orders use individual shrink-wrapping. All packaging prevents bruising and maintains humidity.

Container temperature?

Reefers should maintain 5-8 degrees C with 90-95 percent humidity. Lower temperatures risk chilling injury. Higher temperatures cause weight loss and skin browning. Ethylene scrubbers extend shelf life.

Shelf life of exported pomegranates?

Properly handled pomegranates remain fresh 60-75 days refrigerated. Aril color and sweetness are maintained throughout. Order fruit at 60-70 percent color maturity for maximum shelf life.

Organic certified pomegranates?

Yes. NPOP and USDA Organic certified pomegranates from Maharashtra and Karnataka farms. Organic commands 20-25 percent premium in European and North American markets.

Minimum order?

Minimum is 1 FCL 20ft Reefer with 18-20 MT (3,600-4,000 cartons). LCL from 5 MT for regular buyers. Book 30-45 days ahead during peak season.
